About ten years ago, I retrained as a carpenter. I began work as a joiner making windows before moving to a camper van conversion company. I was there for about 4 years, changing panel vans into camper vans. I built everything from scratch. That's complete interiors, including bedrooms, kitchens, seating, adding in windows and pop-up roofs, installing water systems and electricity.
After this I worked for the famous Swedish flat pack company, where I installed and maintained kitchens in the showrooms as well as taking on customer remedial visits.
In 2019 my family and I decided to travel the UK in a narrow boat. The boat we bought had originally been a day-hire boat, and my van-converstion skills became invaluable as I converted it to suit a family to live in full time.
In 2022 I set up CMV Carpentry, undertaking all kinds of projects for my clients in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. I offer everyday carpentry jobs such as fitting doors, fitting work tops, boxing in pipes, and so on as well as bespoke projects. Previous experience also makes me a great choice for flat pack kitchen fittings, installing fitted wardrobes to look bespoke, laminate flooring, solid wood shelving, and fitted furniture.
